Each Fall, our licensed teachers conduct an extensive individual assessment on the development and skill levels of each child enrolled in our Nursery School Program. Because our primary focus centers upon preparing each child for a successful transition into kindergarten, our Fall Assessment pinpoints exactly where we need to focus our attention with your child. Upon completion of the assessment, an individual parent-teacher conference is held to review the child’s progress and establish goals for the remaining portion of the year. Parents are provided with written copies of all assessments and a copy of the progress report.

In the Spring of each year, our licensed teachers conduct another extensive individual assessment on each child designed to measure the child’s growth in all areas of our curriculum. Again, parents meet one-on-one with their child’s teacher to review the assessments and the progress report. At this time, the teacher and the parents will decide on goals for the upcoming year; including eligibility for Mrs. Allen’s Summer Reading Program.
