An event every year that begins at 12:00 am on day 22 of March, repeating indefinitely

In 1993, the UN designated March 22nd as World Water Day in order to emphasize the importance of conserving and managing our freshwater resources.  What can kids do for World Water Day”

  1.  Conserve Water:  Turn off faucets, take shorter showers, check for leaks and don’t waste water at home or school.
  2.  Finish Your Lunch, Or Save It For Later:  Limiting waste means reducing the water needed to produce our food.  saving our leftovers for another meal helps us reduce our waste and our water consumption.
  3.  Go Meatless For A Day:  Grains and veggies require less water than animal products.  Try eating vegetarian once a week to help conserve water.
  4.  Read These Books About Water Around The World:  A.  Our World of Water:  Children and Water Around The World   B.  One Well:  The Story of Water on Earth   C.  A Cool Drink of Water    D.  A Drop Around The World
